US-China YES Foundation
US-China Youth Education Solutions Foundation (YES Foundation) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to enhancing close academic and cultural ties between Chinese and American youths through quality education solutions.
I worked as a public relations specialist at YES Foundation. We launched the big project of the year - the National Youth Orchestra of China (NYO-China) in 2017. The project aimed to provide exceptional young Chinese musicians access to world-class instruction, extraordinary performance opportunities, and a platform upon which can represent their country, and their generation – to the world.
My job is to pitch stories and deliver timely content for NYO-China to the Publishing Board and work with Communication Director to develop and execute communication strategies to promote the project. I also designed promotional print and digital graphics besides drafting press releases and campaign articles.

From a pool of over one thousand applicants, 105 remarkable musicians, aged 14 to 21 years old and representing all regions of China, were selected to join the inaugural ensemble. To ensure that no excellent musician was turned away for lack of funds, the entire program – including tuition, travel, room, and board – was provided at absolutely no cost to students.

In Summer 2017, these young instrumentalists gathered in the United States for a rigorous two-week training residency with world-renowned teaching artists before embarking on a concert tour of the United States and China, beginning with a sold-out premiere presented by Carnegie Hall.
Print Ad
I designed this print ad to recruit young musicians across China. The ad was posted on major music journals in China and billboards of all known musical schools and colleges in China.
There were more than 500 applicants for 100 spots. We successfully recruit the best of the best young musicians in China.
